Bank of England update

Pamela Wright will talk about the outlook for the economy, focusing on the following questions: Now that inflation is on its way up, will interest rate increases necessarily follow? How does the outlook for the rest of the world affect policy makers` views of the UK economy? And eleven months on from the referendum, how has the Brexit vote impacted on the economy?

Pamela Wright was appointed as Deputy Agent for the East Midlands in March 2010. Prior to that, she was Deputy Agent in Northern Ireland for six and a half years, following two years working in Monetary Analysis in the Bank’s Threadneedle St Head Office. Immediately prior to working at the Bank of England, Pamela was Director of Economics and Research at the British Retail Consortium, where she worked for five years.
